This was an interesting read, particularly because of the little parentheticals and asides (though these guys have nothing on KC Johnson!). It's a nice little rundown, though not the intensive review of CBA/FA rules that some of you are more familiar with, I'm sure.

It's not like you all expected him back anyway, but there's proof. It looks like he'll sign with New York or my favorite team, the Orlando Magic.

What can you all tell me about Duhon? I know he has a reputation as a horrible shooter, above-average defender, and partier extraordinaire. And I get the sense that he never exactly endeared himself to Bulls fans. But what do you guys think?

I appreciate any feedback you can give me.

I've been wondering if they'd settle since the experts I've been reading have said the decision was going to be a close one.

Details still to come, but I'm guessing with a settlement that OKC gets basketball next season.

Regardless of my opinions of the whole ordeal, add the Sonics to my list of teams Kirk can go to. ;)

Joe (New Orleans): Who do you think the Hornets will pick up as freeagents?

SportsNation Chad Ford: I know they're looking at Ben Gordon. It's still unclear whether the Bulls will be willing to break the bank for Gordon ... the Hornets are over the cap so they'd have to workout a sign-and-trade to get him.

I don't really see how this will work from the Bulls perspective. NO can't sign Ben outright unless he goes for the mid-level, and the sign-and-trade opportunities aren't appealing either.

Rookie forward Michael Beasley did not finish his first practice with the Miami Heat summer league team Wednesday after being struck in the chest by a teammate's elbow.

The Heat said Beasley, the No. 2 overall pick in last week's NBA draft, was being taken for evaluation and had no further details on the extent of the injury.

Beasley and the Heat are scheduled to begin play in the Orlando summer league on Monday.

I was just googling Derrick Rose and I ran into his personal website. Anyway, pretty typical fare for a professional athlete's site. Although there were a couple of good videos on there that must have been shot by one of his people cause I havn't seen them before. They're pretty good, especially the one that features him working out prior to the draft. Not sure if anyone posted this already, but you can check out the videos and his website here. Not sure if I linked that properly, it's not lookin right to me. So if it didn't work, the site is drosehoops.com and you can just check it out that way.
